What we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to delete it.

Who we are

The Blue Tool ("Blue", "we") is run by TODO: legal name (as on PAN), TODO: full registered address in India, with PIN code. We decide how your data is used. Questions go to TODO: privacy@<domain>.

What we collect

Account: your Google name, email address and profile picture.
YouTube data you allow: your channel details, video list, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, public stats and YouTube Analytics reports (views, impressions, click-through rate, retention).
What you create in Blue: ideas, notes, links, scripts, titles, chats with Doctor Blue, saved references, and your Identity settings.
Files you upload: caption files, documents and images. Face photos only if you add them in Identity, after you agree.
Billing: your plan, payments and invoices. Our payment provider handles card and UPI details. We never see full card numbers.
Usage and logs: how much of your plan you used, errors, and basic request logs to keep Blue working and secure.

How we use it

To run the features you use: plans, scripts, titles, thumbnails, Insights, Rescue and Doctor Blue.
To learn your channel so suggestions fit your audience. This learning stays in your account.
To measure usage against your plan and to bill you.
To keep Blue secure, fix bugs and answer support requests.

We do not show ads. We never sell your data.

Google and YouTube data

Blue uses YouTube API Services. You sign in with Google and choose what Blue may read. All YouTube access is read-only. Blue never posts, edits or deletes anything on your channel.

The Blue Tool's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In plain words:

We use Google data only to provide and improve the features you see in Blue.
We never sell it, and never use it for advertising, ad targeting or credit decisions.
We share it only with the service providers below, only to run a feature you asked for, or when the law requires it.
People at Blue don't read it, unless you ask us to (for support), it's needed for security or the law, or it's aggregated and anonymous.
We don't use it to train general AI models, ours or anyone else's.

Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

AI and other service providers

Blue uses outside services to run. Each gets only what it needs for the task, under a contract or terms that limit its use to serving us.

AI providers receive your prompt and the channel context needed for the answer. They may process it outside India, including in the United States. We pick API terms that don't let providers train their models on your data wherever the provider offers that.

We may also share data if the law requires it, or with a buyer if Blue is sold, after telling you first.

Storage and security

Your data is stored in our database and in Cloudflare R2 file storage. Data is encrypted in transit. Google access tokens stay on our servers and are never shown in the browser. Only you can see your account's data.

How long we keep it

Your account data: while your account is open.
YouTube data: refreshed at least every 30 days, or deleted. Analytics numbers are kept while Blue still has your permission, and we check that permission every day.
If you remove Blue's access in your Google Account, we notice at the next daily check. The data we read from YouTube (your video list, analytics, captions and what Blue learned from them) is deleted within 30 days, unless you reconnect first. Your own work in Blue stays.
If you delete your account, your subscription is cancelled first, then your data is deleted right away and stored files within 7 days. If you ask by email, we do it within 7 days.
Usage cost records (which AI model ran, tokens and cost) are kept for our accounts with no content and no link to you.
Billing records (payments and invoices): as long as Indian tax law requires (usually 8 years), with no link to your deleted account.
Backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Your choices

Remove Blue's access to Google: visit your Google Account permissions and remove The Blue Tool.
Delete your account: go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your data, revokes Blue's Google access and signs you out. You can also email TODO: privacy@<domain> from your sign-in address.
See or correct your data: most of it is in Blue. For a copy, email us.
Face photos: remove them any time in Identity. They are deleted from storage.
You can withdraw consent at any time. It doesn't affect what we did before.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your data, and to name someone to act for you. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores your theme and layout choices. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and no third party serves ads in Blue.

Children

Blue is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in Blue before it applies.

Grievance Officer and contact

Grievance Officer: TODO: Grievance Officer name, TODO: privacy@<domain>, TODO: full registered address in India, with PIN code. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
